My name is Shae and I am a senior English literature major with a minor in education at Florida State University. I am from West Palm Beach, Florida. I have two brothers and two sisters, four dogs, and two cats. I love to read, watch Netflix, and go to the beach.
I have not really had much experience working with educational technology. I use Canvas and used Blackboard back in the day. I took another education class at FSU and we went to visit the sandbox room in the Stone building, which is just a room with a bunch of different kinds of educational technology. We got to use virtual reality, a 3D printer, smart boards, and more.
I hope to learn more about how I can use technology in a classroom to facilitate learning for my students. Especially with older students, technology becomes less a learning tool and more a learning medium. I hope this class shows me more ways to engage older students in learning through the use of technology.
