During the service learning that I have done through FSU's College of Education, I saw a middle school teacher using a survey as a quiz tool. I do not remember the name of the software she was using, but it was basically just a quiz software that she used after her students read a passage in their textbook. The students all had individual laptops open to that website and answered the questions, then she went over it. Another software just like that one is called Kahoot that I have also used a few times in my FSU COE classes. This is much more environmentally friendly, as well as quicker, saving valuable class time. I think this is a great use of data collection software as it allows teachers to get an understanding of how much their students payed attention to, absorbed, and applied the lesson that was taught to them.
