Diigo can be used in my classroom to have students annotate any articles or stories I assign for them to read. It is easy and seamless, good for the environment, and allows them to do it from any location. This means that even if they forget their homework in their locker, they can still do the annotations. With other teachers, we can put syllabi, lesson plans, and other important administrative information into a group to share with each other. For myself, I can bookmark any important articles that pertain to my classroom, school district, etc. in order to keep track of them and not lose them.

For the next level, comprehension, I can assign students a small group project to make a PowerPoint. In order to help them with the third step, application, I can put discussion questions into a PowerPoint and go through it with them in class to students work through the application of what they've learned. For the fourth step, analysis, I can put graphic organizers in a PowerPoint and have them tell me where they think concepts belong. For synthesis, I can have them put together a portfolio on PowerPoint. For the final step, evaluation, I can have them structure debates on a PowerPoint.

It is important for teachers to understand technology for their own professional development, as well as to teach to their students. https://www.forbes.com/sites/bernardmarr/2019/01/07/5-technology-trends-that-will-make-or-break-many-careers-in-2019/#7c988ef260aa
